During covid we began meeting as a small group in homes. As the pandemic continued, friends, neighbors and other believers seeking community joined us in fellowship. By the time churches reopened we had grown into a committed group of believers with a desire to continue to meet as a church. God faithfully led as we followed his call and his direction to put down roots and grow where He had planted us.
There is one living and true God who exists eternally in three distinct persons (Father, Son
and Holy Spirit). They exist eternally and are equal in nature, attributes, and perfection, yet
forever distinct in their relations to one another and distinct in their particular relationships
both to the creation and to the actions and processes of redemption. [John 14:26, Matthew
28:19]
God is eternal, immortal, and uncreated. God is omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all
powerful), and omnipresent (everywhere at all times). God has graciously disclosed his
existence and power in the created order, and has supremely revealed himself to fallen
human beings in the person of his Son, the incarnate Word. [Psalm 147:5, Job 42:2, Psalm
139:7- 12]
The whole of scripture is inspired, inerrant, infallible, and profitable for teaching. The canon
of scripture is closed, consisting of the 66 books included in the word for word equivalent
Bible translations. These writings alone constitute the verbally inspired Word of God, which
is utterly authoritative and without error in the original writings, complete in its revelation
of his will for salvation, sufficient for all that God requires us to believe and do, and final in
its authority over every domain of knowledge to which it speaks. [Matthew 5:17-18, 2
Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-2, Revelation 22:18-19]
God created the heavens and earth in a literal seven days out of nothing (ex nihilo). God
created mankind uniquely as male and female and commissioned them to care for and
govern His creation, working in and ruling over all creation as God’s faithful servants and
stewards. [Genesis 1-2]
Because of voluntary sin against God, Adam and Eve fell from the actively good, sinless, and
innocent state in which they were first created. They became self-willed, perverse, and
transgressive against God and each other. Immediately they died spiritually and also began
to die physically. Consequently, for them and all their progeny, the image of God was
distorted and their nature depraved and corrupted in every aspect of their being (spiritually,
socially, mentally, volitionally, and emotionally). While human beings are corrupted in every
aspect of their being and functioning, because of God’s common grace the image of God
has not been totally eradicated, and evil is not given full reign. [Genesis 3; Romans 3:23]
Jesus is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on earth, died on
the cross, was resurrected, ascended, and is now sitting at the right hand of God as our
priestly intercessor. Faith in Jesus is the only way to the Father in Heaven. Scripture
promises the imminent, personal, pretribulation, premillennial, appearance of Christ to
rapture the church. [John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 1:1-6; Hebrews 12:2; Isaiah 7:14; 1 John
4:9-10; 1 Thessalonians 1:10]
God the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son, is divine and equal with the Father
and Son, was active in creation, and came into the world to reveal and glorify Christ. The
Spirit draws sinners to Christ and convicts of sin, judgment, and righteousness. From the
moment of spiritual birth, He indwells believers, individually and corporately, as their
Helper. By the Spirit’s agency, believers are renewed, sanctified, and adopted into God’s
family; they participate in the divine nature and receive his sovereignly distributed gifts.
[John 14; Matthew 28:19; Genesis 1; John 3:5-6; John 16:8-11; Ephesians 4:16]
Man was created directly by God in His image and likeness, but through personal
disobedience is a sinner in need of salvation. God created Adam and Eve in His image, male
and female, and declared them “very good,” granting them all the capacities of image
bearers. God created them to reflect and to enjoy His glory. The creation of mankind was
not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species, or development through long
periods of time from lower to higher forms. As relational beings, God himself established
marriage between one man and one woman as a representation of the loving relationship
between Jesus and his bride (the Church). [Genesis 1:27; 1 Corinthians 11:7; Genesis 2:7,
21-23; John 1:3]
Marriage was created by God and is a holy and divinely established covenant between one
(genetically male) man and one (genetically female) woman to be a representation of the
relationship between Jesus Christ and His church. The roles of husband, wife, parent, and
child are clearly defined in Scripture. Marriage is the bond that joins one man and one
woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God created
sexual intimacy to be enjoyed exclusively between one man and one woman who are
married to one another. Sexual intimacy outside the marriage relationship is sinful and
offensive to God. We also believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who
confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. [Gen.
2:24; Matt. 15:19, 19:4; Mark 10:7; Rom. 1:21-27; 1 Cor. 6:9-20; Eph. 5:31; Heb. 13:4; 1 John
1:9; Ephesians 5:21-32; Colossians 3:16-21; 1 Peter 3:1-7]
Salvation
Our salvation is solely a gift of God’s grace alone and is realized for believers through
justification by faith and not by our works, being neither merited nor secured in part or
whole by any virtue or work of man. The ongoing journey of believers to be more Christ-like
is called Progressive Sanctification. [Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8; Colossians 3:10]
We come together in fellowship as believers, edifying each other and lifting up those who
are weak or suffering. Every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, and
proper respect and dignity. Hateful and harassing speech, behavior or attitudes contrary to
Scripture directed toward any individual are to be repudiated. As a community of believers,
we will observe the biblical Sacraments (Ordinances of the Church–Water Baptism and
Communion). In the ministry of the church, both men and women are encouraged to serve
Christ and to be developed to their full potential in the manifold ministries of the people of
God. The distinctive leadership role within the church given to qualified men is grounded in
creation, fall, and redemption and must not be sidelined by appeals to cultural
developments. [Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Romans 15:1-2;
Ephesians 4:29; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11; Romans 12:9-21; Ephesians 4:29-5:2]

We have confidence that when we approach God in prayer, he hears us! Being able to come to Him on behalf of another is one of the many beautiful things about living in community. Let us know how we can come alongside you in prayer (and when he answers, tell us that too!)
